The Bible Project is an awesome place to begin. We are fortunate living in these times for which our Heavenly Father has allowed us “today” if we desire knowledge, as it is written in the bible, “in the last days, knowledge will increase”. Well, knowledge has increased and we can “google it” just about anything we will to ‘know” whether, the truth or the lie . The Congregation Of Sinners Saved By The I Am suggest you link to the Bible Project, because they have taken the time to share knowledge – they also kept it simple in terms of communicating the Bible to us. Remember Jesus is the Word – And He Died for all of us. So get the truth from where the Light of The Word Shines it!!! Then, before you even realize it. You too will Be that Light – you are already sparkling! Amen
Did Jesus/Yahshua Celebrate Christmas? or Did he tell us to?
No, he did not celebrate Christmas, and he did not ask us to celebrate Christmas; Yashuah left us with 2 commandments, recorded in Saint Matthew chapter 22:36-40
Mat 22:36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”
Mat 22:37 Jesus said to him, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’
Mat 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.
Mat 22:39 And the second is like it: ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’
Mat 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
“and he left us with the Great Commission found in Saint Matthew chapter 28:18-20
Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
Mat 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Mat 28:20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Yet, in the Gospel of John chapter 10 verse 22 we see Yahshuah celebrating in the winter which coincides with the celebration of Christmas on our calendar. The verse reads this way in numerous versions of the Bible:
22 And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.
22 That winter, Jesus was in Jerusalem for the Temple Festival.
22 It was winter, and the Festival of the Dedication of the Temple was being celebrated in Jerusalem.
22 They were celebrating Hanukkah just then in Jerusalem. It was winter.
So as you can see in the winter Jesus was at the temple for the Temple Festival.
Now let’s find out what this Temple Festival is all about; “it’s called “Hannukkah” – or The “Feast of Dedication” – or “The Festival of Lights”
This festival that Jesus did observe in his day, is still observed by the Jews today and many other people have added their traditions some religion and some pagan to coincide with this biblical observation.
